Dear Sitka Supporter,

It's year 17 for the Art Invitational and we are back for another year at the World Forestry Center as the venue to display this impressive collection of original art created by Northwest Artists. We are continuing to explore the theme of how art affects our view of the natural world and we have asked the artists to submit work that pushes this conversation further than last year.

In order to make the show a success we need your help. It costs $165,000 a year to put on this show. From catering, facility rental, lighting, display stands, staffing, security, payments to artists, and credit card fees, it all adds up. And that doesn't even account for the time put in by over 100 volunteers who help us pull off the event.

In order to make it all work, we need the support of patrons who are willing to invest in the show for the benefit of the community who get to come and enjoy the opportunity to see such a wide variety of art in a single location.

We have been working all year to secure sponsorships from businesses, individuals, and corporations, but we still need patrons to help us raise $20,000. Your contribution of $250, $500, or $1000 will take us a long way toward meeting this goal. Our deadline is short; we need to raise $20,000 by August 30 in order to make sure we can break even on this year's show. Will you help?

As a thank you for your support, we are offering a special preview of the art to those patrons and sponsors who contribute $250 or more. You'll have the first look at the show and the very first chance to purchase art.
