2008 Sitka Center Workshop Season

Welcome to a season of new ideas at the Sitka Center for Art and Ecology! We invite you to explore our 2008 workshop catalog online and discover for yourself the alchemy of transformation that occurs in this extraordinary place. In addition to courses by some of our most popular instructors, you'll find many new things at the Sitka Center this year. We've added a number of new instructors for 2008, with courses on bookbinding, coastal bird ecology, high dynamic range photography, ceramic instrument making, and wooden boat building. A number of our workshops are experiments -- creative new ideas that we hope you'll enjoy, like a course of forests and storytelling, and a workshop on designing and constructing woodsheds. Finally, in response to inquiries by workshop participants and teachers, we're offering five of our 2008 workshops for continuing education credit through Portland State University. Please contact the Sitka Center for the availability of classes at info@sitkacenter.org.
