Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. How do I check what the file size is?
A. On a PC, right-click the image and select "Properties". The file size will be listed under the "Size" property. On a Macintosh computer, control-click the image and select "Get Info"
Q. What is a pixel and how is it related to image resolution?
A. Pixels are generally thought of as the smallest complete element of an image and can be called dots (as in dots per inch, DPI) or bits. For digital artwork online, it will control how large the image looks on the screen since a computer monitor can only display 72 pixels per inch. If your artwork is 576 pixels wide, then it will appear to be 8 inches on the screen, 648 pixels wide will appear as nine inches, and so on. We ask for an image 800 pixels wide so we can assure a good quality image in the catalog.

Q. How can I get digital images from my slides?
A. Kinkos, Wolf Camera and other similar business will be able to scan your slides in using a slide scanner. Usually, the cost is quite inexpensive. Once the slides have been scanned, you will recieve a disk with all of your images on it. |
