Emily has been making and using pictures as political teaching tools for over a decade. A backbone storycrafter for the wildly successful True Cost of Coal graphics campaign, Emily lives in Bloomfield and works as an illustrator, graphic designer, arts educator, and graphic facilitator.

Recent cultural organizing projects include Flood the System for Rising Tide North America, Still We Rise mobilization for the Center for Popular Democracy, and graphics support to Jews for Racial & Economic Justice, The Center for Coalfield Justice, and Southerners On New Ground.

Emily has been an artist & cultural worker in residence at the Sitka Center for Art & Ecology, The Blue Mountain Center, The University of Southern Maine, Massachusetts College of Art & Design, and Roanoke College. She is a member of the Beehive Design Collective and the Babyland Collective.
