Eileen Hinckle is a mural painter, arts facilitator and educator based in Corvallis, Oregon. Her artistic career has criss-crossed the fields of illustration, printmaking, painting on canvas, protest art, set design and sign painting, and over the past ten years she centered her art practice within the medium of muralism. She discovered her love for murals during the 6 years she lived in South America, learning about how they can function as a tool for community empowerment and activism. During this time she had the opportunity to work with muralist brigades and artist collectives in Peru and Chile, participate in street art festivals, paint large-scale commissioned murals, and collaborate with artists from different parts of the world. In 2020, she completed a degree in Creative Illustration and Visual Communication Techniques from the EINA School of Art and Design in Barcelona, and her academic background is in the field of Psychology.
