Rayna Schaefer is a tribal citizen of The Cherokee Nation. She was born and raised in Oregon, where she still resides with her husband of nearly 32 years. They have 2 children and 3 grandchildren whom all live locally. She has been weaving traditional Cherokee double walled baskets for over 20 years and was fortunate to have learned from a Cherokee elder. Weaving is her connection to her ancestors.
