Alison’s passion for Sitka flows from lifelong interest in the power of creative expression and natural wonder to inspire and inform collective action. She brings with her a collaborative spirit, a fertile imagination, and a career of practical experience helping place-based organizations adapt and grow while staying true to their roots. She is a graduate of Bennington College, and earned her MBA from Portland State University. At age 5, she brought her sketch pad to the zoo, and when a passerby asked her, “are you an artist,” she answered, “yes.” Alison has been based in Oregon since 1995, and joined the Sitka team in 2018.
