Kristen brings a creative spirit, love of wilderness, and a belief in the transformative qualities of art to Sitka. Before joining the staff as the Program Development Fellow she completed a Fall 2018 residency at the Sitka Center. Kristen has a background in arts and environmental nonprofit administration, an MFA in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design and a BFA from Prescott College. She can often be found meandering through old-growth forests, swimming amongst the waves, photographing wild places, or stitching an embroidery project. She is also very fond of coffee and sunsets.
