Proud to call the Oregon Coast home, Millicent (Millie) is honored to join the K-8 create team to facilitate creative expression and nature connection throughout Lincoln County. With a BA in Liberal Arts focused on Art History and Literature and an MA in Leadership for Sustainability Education from Portland State University, Millie's teaching career weaves throughout the formal and informal education systems (across PreK-Middle School with highlights in Garden Education and Clean Rivers Education with Portland Public Schools and cherished experiences with OMSI and the Portland Children's Museum). With appreciation and reverence for the process over the product, Millie finds joy in serving classrooms and students in fun iterative ways of creating and learning.
