Peg is a professor emeritus of science communication at Oregon State University, where she has written several books and hundreds of articles about the ecosystems of Oregon and the world. She began her career as a fisheries biologist on the Oregon coast, taking classes at Sitka whenever possible. Now her passion for science and art has come full circle, at the convergence of art and ecology at Sitka. Peg lives on her family’s peach farm in the Willamette Valley.
