Workshop Overview

In this workshop we'll look to prose poems, flash fiction and micro-essays to explore the rousing potential of short-form prose. Often considered a borderline genre between poetry and prose, "flash" pieces engage all the style and subject of longer pieces, but in a distilled form. Whether you're a beginner wanting to experiment with writing, a veteran looking for a new model for voice, image, and plot, or just a busy human intrigued by the possibilities of bite-size storytelling, this one-day workshop will offer a buffet of readings and writing prompts to stimulate your creative practice.
