Workshop Overview

Create vibrant plant portraits on walnut ink-stained paper. We will focus on depicting the diverse flora of the Sitka spruce coastal forest. We will draw cones, leaves, berries, lichen and seedpods. We will cover a variety of colored pencil techniques and explore drawing from observation. You will learn how to stain your own paper with walnut ink to create unique backgrounds and also learn how to attach one of your drawings on a woodblock and make it "gallery" ready.
