Workshop Overview

We are always in a place, yet we are not always mindful of the profound ways place matters. In this workshop, we will create new writing using place as a portal to our personal stories. Through this process we will 1) discover our most important stories; 2) learn how to evoke place in ways that can strengthen all of our writing; and 3) become more attentive to place in our individual and collective lives. A morning exploring Cascade Head with a naturalist will inspire writing about our immediate surroundings as well as the places we evoke from memory.
