Workshop Overview

A writer uses a pen, a painter, a paintbrush. Both make art, but is that where their similarities end? No! In fact, writers use many of the same techniques that visual artists do—composition, contrast, variation, texture and relative space. In this workshop, we will take a look at the ways these visual artist’s tools are also used by writers, helping to unlock the way you approach your writing and expanding the colors in your palette when it comes to creating compelling poetry and prose.
