Workshop Overview

The encyclopedic richness of the natural environment around the meadows, ocean, and forests of Cascade Head is ripe for experimentation with mixed media processes that blur the practice of painting and drawing. As we forage the Sitka environment to coax shape from a blend of reflection and craft, we will build several threads of work as we go, some achieving a sculptural presence with actual bas relief. You will leave with several bodies of work, all exploring water and drawing media combinations to extend your practice forward.
