Workshop Overview

Wouldn't it be nice to have someone to watch out for you? To have someone in your corner to help you through tough times? Let's create our own warriors! In this three-day workshop we will create one masculine and one feminine portrait. We will discuss differences in bone structures and how to create different expressions. Sculptures will be built solid on simple armatures made of metal pipe and then hollowed and readied for hanging on the wall. After the workshop, finished works will be bisque fired at Sitka.  Participants will pick them up a couple of weeks after the workshop is over.

About the Instructor(s)

Kelly has had clay on her hands for over 20 years. In that time, she has had two daughters, moved across the country and run a successful creative studio business for 6 years.

Kelly has shown her ceramics internationally, and across the U.S. Each year, Kelly teaches both in Oregon where she lives, and also on the east coast to share her love of clay with students. She has been a guest speaker at two universities in their ceramics program, and currently sells her work in three galleries.
