Workshop Overview

With a backdrop of hills made of salvaged Oregon hard woods, students will layer pigments and resin to create a multi-dimensional landscape. Everyone will learn to properly mix resin, pigments, and express their creativity with the depth of this multilayer process. By day three we will demold our projects and sand to a 1,000-grit finish to create a matte glass look and end the workshop with a ready to hang piece.

About the Instructor(s)

Alison is a resin aficionado whose approach to teaching is to encourage students to learn to work with the resin and play with color and techniques in an environment where mistakes are encouraged and breakthroughs emerge prior to completion of the final piece. She evokes the little thrills of, "what if?" and addresses the students’ emotional relationship with the art when going from loving it, to not being so sure.
