Workshop Overview

Jumpstart your artistic practice with an open, exploratory approach to keeping a sketchbook. This workshop uses a sketchbook to enhance your ability to generate ideas and think critically about your work. We’ll start with a non-evaluative approach, working with little planning, responding to mark-making and writing prompts. Varied materials – gouache, colored pens, and markers – will be used to develop an open, reflective sketchbook practice. At the close of the workshop, you will have a better understanding of what’s unique about your art making practice, and about how you see and respond.
