Workshop Overview

Setting isn't the backdrop of your story, it serves as another character, shaping themes and altering mood. Your setting should elevate the plot. It should deepen the reader's understanding of the character. We'll use stories and poems to encourage your focus on the natural world. Writers will have time to walk about and write in the beautiful surroundings at Sitka. Finally, we'll look at how setting fits into the structure of your manuscript.
