Workshop Overview

Explore the many possibilities of image transfer combinations on a variety of substrates including canvas, paper, wood and plexiglass. Combine image transfer and mixed media to add layers of content to prints and collage. You will explore the many ways to add images to personalize your artwork or collages, creating exciting and stunning effects. Explanations in easy to understand language- the differences and best uses for each of the transfer techniques covered. Participants will leave with a collection of samples and the ability to continue working with these processes at home.

About the Instructor(s)

Cheryl Rogers-Tadevich is a Certified GOLDEN Paint Artist Educator.  Spanning four continents, her work showcases the unique world of mixed media, block print and batik art. Cheryl has taught and exhibited internationally.  She has also shown locally in the Geezer Gallery and in the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI). Sharing her robust and creative spirit with her students, Cheryl teaches the wonderful applications of acrylic paints with image transfers on a variety of substrates.  The stunning effects give participants a unique experience.

• Pencil

• Notebook

• Old credit card or squeegee

• Lazer copy only- of Black and white images of choice 5x7 and 8x10

• Apron

• Hair dryer

• Scissors

• Palette paper, Freezer paper, plastic dish or palette for paint mixing

• Paper towels

• Paint brush for acrylics

• Paint brush for Medium - 1" soft

• Pallet knife

• Acrylic paints- 1 light color

• Container for water

• Stencils (optional)

• Duralar Monoprint Plate 5x7

• Wood Panel 8x10

• Canvas piece 8x10

• GOLDEN GLOSS Medium

• GOLDEN OPEN Medium

• GOLDEN OPEN Acrylics - Colors: red/blue/yellow/white

• GOLDEN light Molding paste

• Paper board prepared with Watercolor Ground with image to transfer

• Watercolor samples

• Lazer copies Black and white images 5x7 and 8x10

• Eraser sponge

• Instruction sheets
