Workshop Overview

Landscapes are an essential part of our personal stories—the places we're from, the places we've visited, and the places that attract or repel us. (A geographer once said a person could answer the question \"Who am I?' by pointing to a landscape!) In this workshop, we’ll create new writing using memory and observation. A naturalist will help us see the Cascade Head landscape more vividly, feeding our writing about our immediate surroundings as well as the places we’re evoking from memory. The result will be a weekend exploring how attention to external landscapes can provoke and enrich our deepest stories.
