Workshop Overview

Create your own mosaic "tidepool" inspired by summer minus tides and the sea creatures that inhabit our intertidal rocky shores, such as sea stars, anemones, barnacles and mussels. Learn to use templates to transfer tidepool imagery onto a solid substrate (10" x 10"). While creating your own composition, safely cut stained glass for your tesserae and apply to the substrate with an indirect technique. Joanne will demonstrate grouting during the workshop so you can finish your masterpiece with supplied grout at home. Once finished, your tidepool mosaic will be suitable for hanging outdoors or indoors.
