Workshop Overview

Using mordants and natural dyes such as Osage Orange, Indigo, Walnut, and other plants and barks, we will dye basket reed in rich, beautiful colors. We will also explore the possibilities of space dyeing and ombre colored dyeing. Utilizing the traditional egg basket form, we will create wonderfully distinctive yet functional gathering baskets from our hand dyed reed.
