Workshop Overview

Part art history, part painting, this class will study 2 or 3 Impressionist painters each day, their history, techniques and secrets. This will be followed by painting your interpretation of their work. Lynne will guide you through each painter’s methods, style, composition and subject matter. We will build a foundation for your personal Impressionist style, and you will produce a final painting that expresses what you have learned during the week. Lynne will also work with you on color theory, blending and painting techniques including texturing, dripping, dry brush and glazes. Most important we will have a fun and collaborative workshop!
