Workshop Overview

The students will explore the charcoal medium using an additive/subtractive process with a multiple layer method much like a painting process. Visual students will use references that are connected to the elements: air, fire, water, earth. These visual references will help students learn to see light and shadow. Experimental mark making exercises will help the students learn to find a vocabulary of emotional marks and techniques. Students will accomplish one 22” X 30\" drawing each day.

About the Instructor(s)
