Workshop Overview

Winds and Waves Faculty Concert

This is a guest ticket. If you are registered for the workshop, a ticket is already included with your tuition.

Location: St. Peter the Fisherman Lutheran Church

1226 SW 13th St., Lincoln City

Faculty includes Frances Blaker, Letitia Berlin and Cléa Galhano all of whom perform, record, and teach workshops in the United States and abroad. Blaker, who composes for recorder and other instruments, and Berlin are based in the San Francisco Bay area and form the duo Tibia (www.tibiaduo.com). Galhano, originally from Brazil, lives and teaches in St. Paul, Minnesota. She is on the faculty of Macalester College and other Twin Cities institutions. Guest instructor Janet Beazley has a master’s in Music History and a doctorate in Early Music from USC. She directs the Collegium Musicum (early music ensemble) and the Bluegrass Ensemble at UC Riverside. She teaches traditional and baroque flutes, recorders and whistles, beginning mandolin, beginning dobro, as well as viola da gamba. Janet Beazley plays banjo and sings with the California bluegrass band Chris Stuart & Backcountry and in the duo Chris Stuart & Janet Beazley.

Directions:

From the North

Drive south on US Hwy 101 until you see the Burger King in your left. The next traffic light is the intersection of South Devils Lake Rd and Hwy 101. Go straight through this light and turn right in one block onto SW 13th St.. Drive past the church and turn left into the parking lot.

From the South

Drive North on US Hwy 101. Watch for SE 16th St. and a Shell Gas Station on your right. Just past the Shell Station, take a left turn onto SE 14th St.. Turn right immediately into the church parking lot.
