Earlier this year, community members from near and far came together on Zoom to celebrate the legacy, accomplishments and future of Sitka's Youth Program. Volunteers, staff and community partners shared live and pre-recorded testimonials about the impacts of the Youth Program and hopes for future expansion.
Thank you to former Board President Carol Kearns and former Executive Director Kim Cavatorta of Community Arts Project, Sitka board members Alan Holzapfel and Peg Herring, community partners and school administrators Misty Wharton and Janmarie Nugent and teacher Carey Wundram for your wonderful contributions to the testimonial portion of this event. Also, a heartfelt thank you to each and every individual and family who participated in our virtual event as a viewer, donor and sponsor. We raised nearly $6,500 towards our goal, and we will use these funds to expand into our third school district, Tillamook School District #9, beginning this month.
Also, a special thank you to our Your Art's Desire event sponsors Seufert Winery, Adventist Health Tillamook, Rosenberg Builders Supply, Oregon Coast Bank and Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Commercial Division Principal Broker Valerie Schumann. Your support makes an enormous difference!
