Embellished Stack Rings

Who doesn't love the fun and flexibility of stack rings as jewelry? In this workshop, participants will explore several different ways to both create and embellish stack rings. These rings will be created from silver wire, and the embellishments will include simple standard bezels (participants wont need to make these settings), shapes cut from copper circles and silver balls (achieved by melting small bits of silver). Participants will solder all their embellishments onto the stack rings. The techniques explored in this workshop are foundational and once practiced, will open up the world of ring making to participants.

This workshop is open to all levels, but it will be helpful for participants to be comfortable working with a jeweler's saw and butane torches.

Jewelry artist Dona Miller is an award-winning artist and instructor of traditional silver-smithing and modern metal clay. She is known for her stone-setting techniques in both mediums. She has taught and exhibited throughout the west. Students enjoy her open and organized approach to teaching the metal arts.
