Workshop Overview
Participants will learn multiple new knots to make a 4 sided plant hanger capable of holding up to a 9" diameter vessel. While doing so the class will learn about the age old craft of macrame, different materials and continued learning recommendations. The finished project is not only aesthetically pleasing, it is also made of 100% organic cotton rope, a natural and sustainable material. Students choose from several colors of rope and everyone takes home a completed project.
About the Instructor(s)
Cynthia Valenti's Macrame Workshop series was realized when she combined her passion for textiles and community with her knowledge as a Greening Specialist in Interior Design. She has taught for over 5 years in the Portland Metro Area and beyond. Her series includes 5 classes and counting.
