Workshop Overview

Delve into the realm of personal expressions depicting coastal landscapes through the artful combination of pen and ink alongside a restricted watercolor palette. Under Dorota's guidance, learn techniques to simplify the intricate shapes of trees, rocks, clouds, and water. Engage in structured sketching exercises, experiment with textural mark-making, and explore a range of watercolor washes. Discover the captivating interplay of pen and ink layered beneath and over meticulously prepared watercolor washes. Utilizing a tan surface for our watercolors, we'll evoke the nostalgic charm of antique photographs, capturing enduring memories of the coastal scenery. Work from photographs and, weather permitting, venture outdoors for added inspiration.
