Cruisin' The Fossil Coastline Talk and Book Signing
Wednesday, November 13
with Ray Troll and Kirk Johnson
The Sitka Center is thrilled to announce that artist Ray Troll and Director of the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History Kirk Johnson will circle back to visit the Oregon Coast for a special Sitka talk and book signing on Wednesday, November 13th.
Cruisin' the Fossil Coastline is the long-awaited sequel to Cruisin' the Fossil Freeway, and their art-meets-science collaboration was developed in part during a dual Sitka residency at Grass Mountain.
Troll and Johnson's books are beloved, and their words and illustrations bring their shared passion for fossils, geology and science-inspired road tripping to life for readers of all ages. Copies of the book will be available at the event for purchase.
To open this one-night-only event to as many people as possible, the talk and book signing will be held at and co-sponsored by the Salishan Resort, located in Lincoln City. For people traveling to the coast to attend this event, Salishan is offering a special discount for overnight lodging at the resort. Use the promo code "evntp" (yes, leave out the "e" in the middle) to receive this discount.
